In a letter to the Indian Ambassador in US and the OIA minister, Mohan L Mehta from New Fairfield has appealed the Indian government for protection against "illegal and immoral harassment" by Congress spokesperson Girija Vyas.

Mehta alleges that Vyas, his tenant for 25 years at his Udaipur house, refuses to vacate the premises even after shifting her residence to another place and that she is using the said premises for party activities which disturbs his family's peace.

He has also charged her for adopting revengeful methods. The OIA ministry has forwarded the appeal to the resident commissioner of Rajasthan to take a call and help the NRI.
