Mr. Prime Minister: Discuss the Rogue Pakistan with US:

The intelligence agencies and the police in London have identified those who were responsible for London attack in which more than 50 were killed and 700 injured. Three of the attackers have been found to be of Pakistan origin. The same Pakistan which is an active player in the US & UK strategy of international war against terror.

Today Pakistan is an active exporter of terror world over. Some of the attackers of 9/11 were having links with Pakistan. London attack is proving how the Pak soil has become  a breeding ground for both terrorist ideology as well as for the supply of weapons and required infrastructure. The culture of terrorism in the name of Islamic Jihad in Afghanistan is one of the historical contributions of Pakistan. Pak trained terrorists have played havoc in South East Asia. The top leaders of Al Quida are the host of ISI. To top it all India is the worst sufferer. Today India is bleeding because of Pakistan sponsored terrorism.

Though Islam by basic tenets bears the concept of Kafirs and Jihad but religion as such is not so bigger a cause of terrorism as is Pakistan’s policy of weakening India though terror. Both main land  as well as POK are the training grounds for terrorists. Only recently a Pakistani minister was exposed by one of the terrorists that in early 90s he allowed his farm to be used as terror school. This position was reconfirmed by the Ex-Pakistan Army General Mirza Aslam  Beg. 

US in fact was the active supporter of terrorism when it supported the Afgan Mujahideens logistically to counter USSR. In the process Pakistan became the conduit and US ignored the germination of Islamic fanaticism in Pakistan both at the level of society and at the government level. Pak’s felonies against India were condoned for this reason. The growth of the terror culture then affected US herself when the incident of 9/11 took the US by shock and awe. Again the short sighted US policy of getting the help of Islamic Pakistan in removing Talibans from Afghanistan and  Saddam from Iraq has lead US declare Pakistan as active partner in their war against terror. But see what has been the result? Again the Pakistan linked terrorists have attacked UK which too has put not only UK but whole of Europe in shock and awe. The explanation seems to be very simple. Can you get nectar by feeding poison? Absolutely not. And the problem with Americans is that they think that law of nature can be reversed. They expect nectar by feeding poison.

The shortsighted approach of US policy which considers an attack as terror attack only when it is on American interest is condemnable. If US wishes that India, the largest democratic country in the world, must be a long term partner of US on issues of common interest then US will have to change its Pak policy. Pressure will have to mounted by US on Pak to dismantle it terror network and stop all terror preaching in the name of Islam. Pakistan too must learn from how Blair has declared in the House of Commons that the hardcore mullahs will be deported from UK. Is it not a shame for the followers of Islamic faith? Only one incident has lead the West to retaliate so furiously which boasts of being the most secular, flexible and tolerant society. India on the contrary is a far flexible country.

It is in this context that I propose that PM in the ensuing visit to US must keep Pak high on the agenda and try to convince US that Pakistan is a rogue state. It harbours international terrorists like Daud Ibrahim and Osama Bin Laden. It promotes a culture of terror. India is the most hard hit but West to is now feeling the heat. And so US, the great friend  of Pakistan, must ensure that Pakistan becomes clean. PM must tell US that before Kashmir it is the terror question which needs to be dealt with. The issues of Civilian use of nuclear energy, energy policy or economic cooperation must get the second priority in his discussions with US. Pakistan needs to be declared a rogue state.
